A tour of the Bayview to Church Point path, located on the Sydney Northern Beaches.

The Bayview to Church Point path is approximately 3kms one way. Our start point to the path is in the carpark next to the Bayview Tennis Club and boat ramp, located off Pittwater Road in Bayview. This carpark is metered, however free street parking can also be found nearby. You can easily extend this walk by starting in either Flying Fox Park, Mona Vale (Winnererremy Bay) or Rowland Reserve.

If you would prefer, you can check out the video directly on the Sunday Explorer YouTube channel (link opens in a new window).

There are no steps along this path, which makes it pram accessible, however many of the driveways that you cross along Pittwater Road are angled, so you will need to take care.

Along Pittwater Road between Bayview and Church Point you will see some of the nicest real estate on the Sydney Northern Beaches, with several large waterfront properties scattered along the sides.

Completely the walk during low tide will allow you to see many of the many of the smaller boats, mainly tinnies and runabouts, sitting beached on the sand. This is a common sight around many parts of Pittwater.

The walk is running alongside Pittwater Road for almost the complete length, making this not a walk that you can zone-out and relax on, however the sights of the water go a long way for making up for this. There is never more than about 60 seconds where you can’t spot the water.

We finish at the Church Point Ferry Wharf. For something different, you could catch a ferry over to Scotland Island, Elvina Bay and beyond for further adventures.
