A tour of the Irrawong Reserve trail including the Irrawong Waterfall, located in Warriewood, a suburb on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia.
There are two main sections to the trail. First, the easy part from Garden Street to the waterfall, which is close to perfectly flat and around 600m, there are less than half a dozen steps along this section.

Once at the Warriewood Waterfall you continue along the sand and a new track begins which will take you to the second part of the track. This second part is up hill via dozens of stairs to Ingleside Road, and at a guess is a bit over 1km. This area is known as Ingleside Chase Reserve. This second part of the walk is only for those who have a good level of fitness, or are willing to take it nice and slowly.
Over half of the first section of trail runs parallel to Irrawong Road. If you are after a very easy stroll then park towards the end of Irrawong Road (just before it bends sharply left) and jump on the trail there. You will then have a walk of 200-300m to the waterfall (including about 10 stairs total).
At the end of the second section, where it meets Ingleside Road, if you don’t want to come back down the same way then you can walk a few hundred metres north to Laurel Road East and join up with the Warriewood Downhill trail (see our other video on this one).

The entrance to the trail is across the road from the Warriewood Wetlands West side trail, or a short 5 minute walk to the start of the Warriewood Wetlands East side trail, so check out our videos on those walks and strongly consider linking these up. Irrawong Reserve – Getting There
If you are coming to the area on public transport then take the B-Line bus (double-decker yellow bus) to the Warriewood stop. From here it is less than 1km to the trail, or go to the Warriewood Wetlands trails first, which are only half the distance from the bus, which then pops you out much closer to the trail for the Irrawong Reserve. If you are coming by car then free street parking is plentiful. If you want to walk the full trail then park on Irrawong Road, where it meets Garden Street. If you want to take the shorter route to the Warriewood Waterfall, especially if you have little children, drive along Irrawong Road the whole way to the end. You will find an entry to the trail here and your walk length will be cut in half.
